We’re all overwhelmed by information, and we believe it’s not because there is too much information, but because companies aren’t equipped to properly utilize it.
A common reporting and analysis problem
Manual (spreadsheet-based) reporting and analysis are time consuming and complex to maintain effectively. As a result business decisions can be based on inaccurate and incomplete data. It can also result in the duplication of effort by building the same charts and reports over and over again and constantly assembling data from different sources. Eventually, as an organization grows, this can lead to large unmanageable spreadsheets that are frustrating and difficult to maintain.
Our Approach
VISAGE enables companies to get consistent reliable information by accessing data directly from existing systems including PVR, AVM/Quorum, Avocet/FieldView, Qbyte, WellView, Value Navigator, Mosaic, CS Explorer, Primavera, and AFE Navigator. Now everyone is looking at the same data in the same place and the underlying logic that delivers your information is always transparent, which means you can trust VISAGE to deliver accurate results to everyone who needs them.
In contrast to typical ‘Business Intelligence’ solutions, VISAGE delivers immediate value. Implementations are fast, non-disruptive and affordable. VISAGE is not a big IT undertaking. Rather, it is about helping clients leverage their existing systems and data while experiencing immediate business value each step of the way.
With VISAGE, users are sheltered from the complexity of information access and integration. VISAGE was designed to be managed and configured with in-house IT skills, or with the assistance of the ViS team.
The Architecture
VISAGE runs as an application on your server with minimal memory and disk space requirements. VISAGE accesses data, on demand, from any data source.
Our “Dynamic ETL Technology” assembles and dimensions information on the fly from one or more data sources and takes advantage of leading edge in-memory processing capabilities.
Customization
VISAGE can be customized to accommodate almost any information need. As long as the data exists and there is definable logic … anything is possible.
Implementation
We have an incremental approach when implementing VISAGE. We believe in expanding data integration & analysis capabilities on a business value and priority basis, one step at a time.
Some of the benefits of an incremental approach include:
- Faster and less expensive implementation
- Sensitive to change management
- Faster return on investment
- Lower risk
- Build on each success, helping you learn as you go
User Interface
We recognize that most users have to work with many complex software applications, so our goal has been to make the VISAGE user interface as intuitive as possible. This includes incorporating configurable “data views” – meaning your data is tailored to the specific information needs of individuals and disciplines within your organization. The VISAGE team also recognizes the importance of security – ensuring that ‘read-only’ access to information is carefully controlled.
Charting
- Self-serve interactive visualization (user created from an inventory of variables & attributes)
- While reports inherently structure data around predefined criteria, visual analysis in VISAGE charts provide a much higher degree of data interactivity. With visual analysis, users can visually filter, compare, and correlate data at the speed of thought
- VISAGE charts enable users to customize the information that’s relevant to them, identify anomalies, and drill down to more detailed information (whether it be production, cost, variance or a performance metric)
- In essence, the VISAGE charting can tell a story that you can explore using visualization
- Professional presentation-ready charts mean you can copy and export images right out of VISAGE, without any manipulation
Reporting
- VISAGE reporting can be customized to suit your own corporate needs. Reports can be constructed to provide:
- a standardized display of information (basic rows and columns with drill down)
- exception analysis based on user defined criteria
- complex dashboards with several avenues to access detailed information
- sophisticated analysis, optimization and decision support
